Life Is Beautiful

Like a tree planted along the riverbank..
bearing fruit each season without fail...
Psalm 1:3

“I thank you God for this most amazing day,
for the leaping greenly spirits of trees,
and for the blue dream of sky and for everything
which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes. “

"Light is sweet; it’s wonderful to see the sun.
When people live to be very old, let them rejoice in every day of life.
But let them also remember that the dark days will be many.
Everything still to come is meaningless.

Young man, it's wonderful to be young!

Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do
but remember that youth must give an account to God for everything you do.
So banish grief and pain, but remember that youth,
with a whole life before it, still faces the threat of meaninglessness.

Don’t' let the excitement of youth
cause you to forget your creator.
Honor Him in your youth before you grow old and no longer enjoy living.
It will be too late then to
remember Him,
when the light and sun and moon and stars is dim to your old eyes,
and there is no
silver lining left among the clouds."
Ecclesiastes 11: 7-9; 12:1-2

The Weather Change

Summer is around the corner . But we have monsoon rain lately which is unusual during this month.

Taken a few days ago...

But see the wet blue flower at Wonderfully Made. Renewed.. restored.. cleansed.. and fresh looking after the rain..

Such as this..

Though the clouds of darkness hovering...
Covering all around...

Dimmer than ever..
In the dark sky beneath the clouds..
Looking for the silver lining?

Though the rain keep on keeping on?
Shaded glow disappearing ...
Times keep on changing..
Can we stand in the rain?

But remember ..

the sun will keep on shining..
the rain will stop pouring..
A new day will always come!

And each day will be a new beginning!

If I ride the wings of the morning,if I dwell by the farthest oceans,
even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.
Psalm 139:9-10

Think About These Things

Think about the green grasses.
The flowers in the fields..
The colors of the sky..

Taal Lake, Tagaytay, February 2007

The fields after the rain.
The waves at the shores.
White Beaches..

Romblon Island, January 2007

Waterfalls... Springs.
clouds.. mountains an hills..
The beauty of His creation..

Perfect Cone, Mayon Volcano, May 2006

Think about the green leaves swaying.
The hammock under the tree..
the birds singing..
The breeze..

My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth.

test me and know my anxious thoughts..

For from it flow the springs of life

"For the mouth speaks of that what fills heart. "

Let us cultivate a heart that yearned
for what is good and lasting.

Knowing Who You Are

"It is the past that shaped who we are today.
We learned from it.
Let us build the dreams and changed for the better.
We will become what we are meant to be."

Intramuros, Manila,Philippines

The Philippines before the Spaniards:

"All of the islanders are much given to reading and writing.
And there is hardly a man,
much less a woman who did not read and write."
Father Pedro Chirino (Relacion de las isles Filipinas-1604)

Rizal 's Poem

"Education Gives Luster To The Motherland"
Jose P. Rizal

(original in Spanish)

Wise education, vital breath
Inspires an enchanting virtue;
She puts the Country in the lofty seat
Of endless glory, of dazzling glow,
And just as the gentle aura's puff
Do brighten the perfumed flower's hue:
So education with a wise, guiding hand,
A benefactress, exalts the human band.

Man's placid repose and earthly life
To education he dedicates
Because of her, art and science are born
Man; and as from the high mount above
The pure rivulet flows, undulates,
So education beyond measure
Gives the Country tranquility secure.

Where wise education raises a throne
Sprightly youth are invigorated,
Who with firm stand error they subdue
And with noble ideas are exalted;
It breaks immortality's neck,
Contemptible crime before it is halted:
It humbles barbarous nations
And it makes of savages champions.

And like the spring that nourishes
The plants, the bushes of the meads,
She goes on spilling her placid wealth,
And with kind eagerness she constantly feeds,
The river banks through which she slips,
And to beautiful nature all she concedes,
So whoever procures education wise
Until the height of honor may rise.

From her lips the waters crystalline
Gush forth without end, of divine virtue,
And prudent doctrines of her faith
The forces weak of evil subdue,
That break apart like the whitish waves
That lash upon the motionless shoreline:
And to climb the heavenly ways the people
Do learn with her noble example.

In the wretched human beings' breast
The living flame of good she lights
The hands of criminal fierce she ties,
And fill the faithful hearts with delights,
Which seeks her secrets beneficent
And in the love for the good her breast she incites,
And it's th' education noble and pure
Of human life the balsam sure.

And like a rock that rises with pride
In the middle of the turbulent waves
When hurricane and fierce Notus roar
She disregards their fury and raves,
That weary of the horror great
So frightened calmly off they stave;
Such is one by wise education steered
He holds the Country's reins unconquered.

His achievements on sapphires are engraved;
The Country pays him a thousand honors;
For in the noble breasts of her sons
Virtue transplanted luxuriant flow'rs;
And in the love of good e'er disposed
Will see the lords and governors
The noble people with loyal venture
Christian education always procure.

And like the golden sun of the morn
Whose rays resplendent shedding gold,
And like fair aurora of gold and red
She overspreads her colors bold;
Such true education proudly gives
The pleasure of virtue to young and old
And she enlightens out Motherland dear
As she offers endless glow and luster.
